While completing my master’s degree in Tourism, I took various sommelier courses and I became a certified sommelier through the Czech Sommelier Association in Prague.<\/p>\n My love for wine brought me to Mikulov, the wine capital of Southern Moravia. It was here that I became a partner and winemaker in a winery in 2013.<\/p>\n I worked in every aspect of wine-making, from tending the vines to heavy lifting as cellar hand.\u00a0<\/p>\n I continue to make wine at my old winery where I refine my skills in the art of making wine along with the experience of all the joys that come with it.<\/p>\n I traveled and lived for years in different parts of the globe including the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Africa, Asia and Europe. I visited many wine regions as part of my research and spent four years on Long Island, New York. Here I lived and worked in the heart of Long Island wine regions, the North Fork.<\/p>\n This life-changing experience along with its amazing people inspired my to pursue a life in the wine industry. On my journeys I have been lucky enough to explore wine regions across Australia and New Zealand. My time there gained me the knowledge of local vineyards,\u00a0and experienced some of the finest wines in the world. In Cairns, Australia, I worked and trained in several areas of food and beverage, as well as event planning, wine tastings and training for restaurants and hotels.<\/p>\n I wouldn’t say I’m a wine buff, but I very much enjoy a glass of wine or two :-)<\/p>\n And after meeting Anna, wine became my everyday world.
